Our West Caldwell, NJ location is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor !
Our product line includes power management products and sophisticated electronic radio frequency components and subsystems. As a total solution enterprise, we offer our customers electronic manufacturing services, engineering support services, product development, and production service sets. Our products are found in the most complex commercial and defense applications.
The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, reporting to the Site Leader, is responsible for the supervision of the shipping receiving staff and coordinates activities related to verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing products for shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Direct the day-to-day operations of material handlers and shipping/receiving employees including: establishing clear direction and providing challenging assignments for employees
Meet key performance indicators through effectively managing material logistic functions to achieve aggressive OTD, inventory, and past due performance metrics
Confirm adequate levels of materials and/or product inventories are maintained and arrive on time to the appropriate cells; Anticipate and manage product shortages in an effective manner
Ensure the efficient and cost effective management of shipping outgoing materials and supplies, including packaging our products and preparing for delivery to our customers
Ensure logistics and trade compliance
Drive lean initiatives to maximize efficiencies, minimize waste and improve safety
Assist in continuous quality improvement. Evaluate and recommend changes in methods and procedures
Minimum 2 years direct supervisor/management experience required
Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Skills: Strong leadership skills, delegating to and motivating staff
Knowledge: Shipping and receiving logistics and lean principles.
Education/Certification: High school Diploma or greater
Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible
